Meet The Band

Tommy Scheckel

He’d spent 27 years with The Buckinghams (famous for “Kind of a Drag”, “Susan”, “Don’t You Care” and many other hits),and now he now plays with Paul Revere's Raiders! A Raider since 2010, Paul Revere once said "it's like he’s been part of the Raiders for 50 years!".
 

 

Dave Zane (Guitar, Vocals) joined The Buckinghams in 2010, based out of Chicago, Illinois, as lead guitarist and hamony vocals. Through Dave's career he has had the opportunity to share the stage with many talented musicians who have all contributed to inspiring him on his musical journey in life. Below is a list of those he has felt very grateful for the opportunity to share the same stage while working in the music industry. The Guess Who, Mark Lindsay, Gary Puckett, Gary Lewis & The Playboys,The Kingsmen, The Shangrilas, Lou Christie, Danny & The Juniors, The Buckinghams, The Ides of March, The New Colony Six, John Kay of Steppinwolf, Donnie Iris, Marshall Crenshaw, The Drifters, The Crystals, The Turtles, The Association, Paul Revere & The Raiders, Don McLean, The Grassroots.

 

 

Jimmy Herter (Guitar, Sax, Flute Vocals) worked with producers Andrew Gold and Kenny Edwards from The Linda Ronstadt Band and found themselves sharing their original music on stage with the likes of such acts as the Talking Heads, The Romantics, and Greg Kihn. Later in the 80’s, paying tribute to the 60's, Jimmy has shared the stage with Jan & Dean, The Strawberry Alarm Clock, Gary Lewis, and countless Jimmy played lead guitar and sang for Nicolette Larson from ’85 to ’95. He also toured overseas with "Beatlemania Live,” playing the part of George in this and other "Beatle Bands". Jimmy performed in a famed faux Monkees tribute “The Missing Links” playing the part of Peter Tork. After twenty years in LA, Jimmy returned to Chicago in 1997 to play premier events with the Montgomery Street band. 

 

 

Ron Romero (4 and 12 string bass and vocals) played bass with the original lead singer of the Shadows of Knight (GLORIA!) Jimy Sohns and his "Rock and Roll Side Show" that include other past members of the Shadows of Knight and the New Colony Six . Ron is a music veteran from the Chicagoland area for the past 30+ years. Having played with many projects in the Midwest, he has performed many styles of music over the years from 60's music, New Wave, rock and country.  He has had local radio airplay with songs such as Cover Girl and Undone recorded and performed with his band The Phones in the 80s. Being an avid Cheap Trick Fan, Ron has appeared on several tracks on Cheap Trick tribute CDs over the years. Ron has shared the stage with members of the Shadows of Knight, the Cryan Shames, New Colony Six, and Dennis Tufano of the Buckinghams.

The Hornsection

Carlo Isabelli (Trumpet) started playing the cornet in 4th grade. Shortly thereafter he heard the great 'Doc' Severinsen wherein he came to the conclusion that he wanted be a professional trumpet player. 

After graduating from Joliet Central High school and attending Joliet Junior college, Carlo found himself performing with several bands in the Joliet and Chicago land area. After several years of playing with various groups, Carlo became the lead Trumpet player for the nationally renowned 60’s group, The Buckinghams. Carlo has played on several recordings with The Buckinghams, and has also appeared on PBS specials with such artist as, The Buckingams, The Grass Roots, and Michael McDonald and The Doobie Brothers to name a few. Performing with The Buckinghams has led him to play for the past two Presidential Inaugurations in Washington D.C. 

 

Charles Morgan (Trombone) is an Associate Professor of Music and Director of Bands at Joliet Junior College. Professionally he has shared the stage with Gary Puckett and the Union Gap, The Grass Roots, Tommy James and the Shondells, Peter Noone and Herman’s Hermits, and The High Society Orchestra. He currently plays with The Buckinghams and has appeared on Good Morning America, NBC Concerts at Noon, WGN; recorded a special for PBS “60's Pop Rock Reunion” released on DVD and CD by Time Life; and performed at both the 55th and 56th Presidential Inaugurations in Washington D.C. He can also be heard on their recordings “Yesterday, Today,” “Live and Well,” “Standing Room Only,” “Reaching Back,” “The Joy of Christmas,” and their current CD/DVD “Up Close.” 

 

Rich Moore (Sax) is an active and in demand freelance saxophone player and educator. As a performer, Rich has been on stage and recorded with many of Chicago’s finest musicians in notable venues. Versatility and adaptability have given him the tools necessary to make music in a variety of genres. While his main focus is Jazz, his passion branches into Classical, Latin, Funk, Rock, Pop, Caribbean and R&B. As an educator, Rich has given guidance to many successful young musicians. His students have earned top rankings at state high school competitions and festivals, won top chairs in college ensembles and have achieved success as professionals. His considerable teaching experience includes private lessons in saxophone, clarinet and flute, saxophone master classes, improvisation master classes, jazz ensemble clinics, guest artist appearances, and ensemble coaching. In addition to teaching saxophone at Northern Illinois University, Rich is instructor of clarinet at Moraine Valley Community College, and has private lesson studios in a couple of acclaimed suburban school districts. Rich holds a Bachelor of Music degree (Saxophone Performance, with an emphasis in Jazz Studies) and a Master of Music degree (Clarinet Performance) from Northern Illinois University.
